The Hidden Creeks Erie exhibit at the Center for Lake Erie Education and Research (CLEER) starts Sat., Jan. 31, 2026.

This photograph shows the construction of the Mill Creek Tube continued year-round, as weather permitted. This construction piece was taking place under the Jarecki building, then located at 10th and Holland. Although it survived the flood, the brick structure required I-beam supports to safely brace the building as the Tube was being poured. Those icicles along the walls look mighty familiar this time of year...
